Portrait Session Clothing Tips
Clothing is a very important aspect of your portrait session. We ask that you take the time to plan out your clothing options so that we can continue to build upon the qualities of your portraits. We suggest that you bring solid colors, no bold stripes or prints. Solid colors help to keep the focus on your face and not on your outfit. Also, avoid white sneakers. Couples or small groups should choose simple garments within the same tonal ranges. Light and dark tones together create visual confusion, as one subject comes forward and the other recedes. We encourage you to bring a couple clothing options. If time permits, we will be glad to photograph you in them.
Custom Portrait Session Process
1). Session Consultation
In order to provide you with the best in custom portraits, we ask that you come into the studio for a complimentary session consultation with your photographer. At this time we will discuss what you want to capture in your portraits, where you want to hang your portraits, clothing options, and the location for your portrait session. The consultation will take about thirty to forty five minutes of your time.
2). Sales Design Consultation
After your portrait session is over our photographer will edit your images for your viewing at the Sales Design Consultation, which will be scheduled within 10 days of your portrait session. We ask that everyone who is involved in the portrait ordering process be present at the time of their Consultation. This is a time to view, design, and customize your images and order prints, albums, and framing, for you, your family and friends.
3). Delivery (Prints & Products)
Your portraits will be ready for pickup anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks, depending on order size. Products such as albums can take up to an additional two weeks. If you have a deadline to meet please let us know and we will always try to accommodate your request.
